Still sleeping

Sent us spinning into a death spiral,

united with layers upon layers to unveil,

as days grew old, the land weeped and people grieved,

the sand seeped into the depth of the ocean, it was inviting but we were told to stay well away, once the heatwave had been braved,

somewhere warm and safe,

till the tide passed softly over,

and thunderous clouds no longer cover,

we are no longer smothered,

breath is no longer caught and we have been brought away from the lost and forlorn shores

to a new venture, an adventure like no other,

to create this chronicle,

a carefully constructed puzzle piece in the vast and unimaginable spectacle,

of this deception,

we are still asleep, in servitude to something,
